Week 8 Playmakers

Case Keenum          Quarterback         Houston

44 of 54, 559 yards and 5 TD's, now THAT is a bigtime game.  I don't care if was against an average Southern Miss team or Filmore Junior High (Brady Bunch reference).  Keenum's stats alone warrant Heisman consideration.

Jared Crick          Defensive End          Nebraska

The Huskers may be struggling, but the "other" Nebraska lineman single handidly demolished the Baylor Bears last Saturday.  Crick had a team and conference record 5 sacks to go along with 10 solo tackles, 7 of them for losses.  If only the Cornhusker offense could play up to these standards !

Jeremiah Masoli          Quarterback          Oregon

As the USC Trojans found out the hard way, Masoli was a handful in leading the Ducks to a 47-20 on Saturday night.   The Junior dual threat quarterback completed 19 of 31 passes for 221 yards and a TD and ran through the Trojans defense for 164 yards and another score.

  1. The Orange stay with the Bearcats for awhile. I was very proud of the defence of SU. I think they did a very good job in holding Cinci to 28 points. Just in Mike Williams of SU left the team Monday.Oh will the only bight spot is gone now.

  2. coming up a very big game for LSU the winner will be the SEC Western Division Champs. Can the Bama offense score against the Tigers defense. Or will it be Saban against Miles.I think it will be Bama just because they are at home and the LSU offense can't seem to get a leadership roll out of Jefferson. It will be a low scoring game and one not to be missed!! Oh please let me be wrong GO T-I-G-E-R-S!!

  3. Well, I'll give the Orange credit, they did do their best to hang in with the Bearcats. Cincinnati is a legit Top 10 team this year with the brightest young coach out there in Brian Kelly. I heard about Williams, he had gotten into trouble late last Saturday at 3:00 a.m. (what was he doing out at that time of night). He was a definate top 2 round selection but now those "character" issues may arise and drop his draft status. As for the L.S.U.-Bama' game, I like Bama's defense a little better than the Tigers..in a close game, Crimson Tide 16-L.S.U. 9.
